The Harvey Rose Bowl (visual presentation), Elizabeth F. Ireland Award (properties), Stage Manager’s Award, NL Herald Audience Appreciation Award and Margaret Doyle Award (spirit of the festival) were all retired prior to this year’s festival and not replaced. -
The Thompson Trophy was retired and replaced with the award for Best Actor (male or female) under age 25.
The Neala Griffin Trophy (direction), Allan Power Award (lighting), Allan R. Hillier Award (costumes), Hans Tode Award (innovative and imaginative set design), and the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador Award (best play) were retired as perpetual trophies.
The Honourary Chairman’s Award (best actor), Chrissi Andrews Memorial Award (best actress), Reg Harte Memorial Award (best supporting actor), and Sarah MacDonald Memorial Award (best supporting actress) will no longer be known or referred to by those names.
